Playoffs and post-season tournaments are right around the corner.

The Varsity Region season ends on January 31, and playoffs begin on February 1. The remaining seasons conclude in mid-February, and post-season tournaments for those leagues begin immmediately thereafter.

We're going to need everyone's cooperation to make sure the tournaments run smoothly, that referees have enough notice to get to games, and that there are no issues or misunderstandings.

The following rules/guidelines apply for all post-season play:

• All leagues will use a single elimination, seeded format. The brackets for each league are displayed below.
• It is up to the opposing coaches to contact each other and schedule a game time, and to contact and confirm the referees. Please copy me on all scheduled games, but please make sure that you copy the referee assignors when you have finalized your game with your opponent.
• Preference for home games goes to teams/parishes that can schedule doubleheaders, including the wilingness to host neutral site games. If a higher seeded team has only a single game gym time, but the lower seeded team it is playing can schedule that game plus another (either with another of its teams or with a neutral site game), then the game will be played at the lower seeded team's site.
• The scheduling windows for each round are tight. Please be responsive to inquiries and flexible with your schedule. Do not wait for the higher seeded coach to contact you — please make contact as soon as possible with available dates, times, and locations.
• There is no post-season tournament for the JV Parish league. There is no post-season tournament for the Varsity Region-South/Varsity Parish teams, unless someone volunteers to be the tournament organizer and coordinates games, results, and logistics.

League-specific Post-season Tournament Information

Varsity Region Championship

All Varsity-North and the top three (3) teams from the Varsity-South division will play for the Region 11 Girls Varsity Championship.

Playoffs begin on February 1. The first round must be completed by February 4.

The semifinals will be played as a doubleheader at a neutral site, if possible, on February 10. Details for the date and site are still being finalized. The highest seeded remaining team will select their preferred game time.

The Region 11 Championship game is scheduled for Sunday evening, February 12 at a site to be determined. The game will be part of a doubleheader with the Boys Championship game. The times for the games will be determined and posted shortly.

Junior Varsity Region Tournament

The Junior Varsity Region Tournament will encompass all Junior Varsity Region teams.

The two first round games must be completed before February 11.

Second round games must be completed between February 12 — 16.

Third round games must be completed between February 17 — 22.

Semifinals will be played on February 23.

The championship game will be played on February 25 or 26.
